Washburn Fire Protection District
Delivery Day
August 8, 2005
Washburn, IL DeliveryOn Monday, August 8, Washburn Fire
Protection District took procession of their new Alexis Attack
Truck. This multi-purpose truck is the result of many hours
of planning and engineering between Chief Jess Erkman and
his committee and Mike Shull and his staff at Alexis Fire
Equipment. This 4x4 Ford F550 has an automatic transmission
with a Waterous hydraulic driven pump. This pump has a 250
GPM performance and allows the truck to pump and roll even
with the automatic transmission. More information on this
system will be announced by Alexis Fire Equipment Co. in the
near future. The versatility of this apparatus continues in
the winter when Washburn can remove their front bumper turret
and hook onto a 10 foot snow plow. Washburn is planning on
showing this truck at the Monroe Fire School parade on Sunday
August 21 in Monroe, Wisconsin. On hand for the delivery and
training from Alexis were Salesman Stan Froelich, Vice President
Mike Shull, Electrical Department Forman Jim Watson, and Finish
Area Forman Wade Johnson. We would like to thank Chief Jess
Erkman and his department for the great steak dinner they
served that evening and for their continued support of Alexis
Fire equipment. More pictures and information is posted in
the new delivery area of this web site.
